ROBBIALAC FLOOR PAINT (ENAMEL)

Floor Paint (Enamel)

  • Good film build up and upon drying it forms a tough film that is long lasting and holds sufficient weathering properties
  • Adequate level of pigmentation and carefully selected extenders that help in providing good abrasion resistance and toughness to combat medium traffic movement
  • Designed on a synthetic alkyd resin with good flow and quick drying properties

  1. Mainly for internal/external areas prone to light-medium traffic
    1. Cemented floor
    2. Pave blocks
    3. Walk ways
  2. Not to be used in areas prone to heavy traffic and vehicle movement

Availability:

  1. Standard shades are available Red, Green and as per customer requirement.

Coverage:

  1. The theoretical coverage of ROBBIALAC FLOOR PAINT would be approximately 8 – 9 M²/lit at a Dry film thickness of 40 µ.

*Due consideration must be given to the evenness of the surface and the nature of the substrate.

Surface preparation

Surface preparation:                                                                                                                             

  1. Avoid humid conditions >95% and also dew point of <3% for application
  2. The expected life span is directly related to the surface cleanliness
    1. It is therefore mandatory to remove the grease, oil, wax by solvent cleaning
    2. Any external contamination, cement / concrete spills, salts can be removed by dry brush, chipping, needle gun or spot blast
    3. For stubborn surfaces, it is recommended to use an acid washing followed with a thorough water wash
  3. Apply an initial coat of ROBBIALAC FLOOR PAINT with a thinning recommendation of 20% of ROBBIALAC GP THINNER
  4. Final coat of ROBBIALAC FLOOR PAINT should be applied with a maximum thinning recommendation of 10% of paint

*Not suitable for immersed conditions & cannot be coated with 2K, Vinyl & aromatic thinned alkyd systems.

Method of application

Method of application:

  1. By roller/brush and if large areas are to be painted one can use suitable spray application.
  2. To keep the brush/roller and spray equipment in good condition for use, clean the same in ROBBIALAC GP THINNER and dry them immediately after application

Thinning recommendation:

  1. ROBBIALAC GP THINNER and to the extent of maximum of 10% of the paint on final coat
  2. Stir well with a convenient mixing equipment for uniformity to ensure good mixing of all the components.
