Black/Green Board Paint
- Popular grade of enamel paint used for painting the board for display or writing in educational institutions or hoardings
- Based on a modified Synthetic Alkyd based formulation
- Good pigmentation that is tough and also gives good scratch resistance
- Extremely good abrasion
- It has long life and resists chalk marking to a great extent
- Economic option to alternate writing boards
- Exhibits good film build up with a matt finish
Designed Use:
- Strongly recommended as a single option for writing on boards of various end uses inclusive of class Rooms, hoardings, and other display areas
- Recommended for both indoor and outdoor applications
- Useful for both metallic as well as wooden boards with suitable undercoats
Availability:
- Available only in black/Green color
Coverage:
- The theoretical coverage of ROBBIALAC BLACK/GREEN BOARD PAINT would be approximately 6 – 8 M² /liter at a Dry film thickness of 30 µ.
*Due consideration must be given to the evenness of the surface and the nature of the substrate.
Surface preparation:
- Avoid humid conditions >95% and also dew point of <3% for application
- The expected life span is directly related to the surface cleanliness and proper application.
- The surface to be painted needs to be clear of all grease, laitance and fungal growth.
- Wooden surfaces:
- It is strongly recommended that the wood surface be treated with ROBBIALAC WOOD PRESERVATIVE
- ROBBIALAC WOOD PRIMER should be used to provide through binding of BLACK BOARD PAINT top coat
- Steel and other metals:
- ROBBIALAC SHIELD RED OXIDE PRIMER is used as initial surface preparation to provide anti-rust properties
- ROBBIALAC ENAMEL UNDERCOAT WHITE should be used to provide through binding properties for BLACK BOARD PAINT top coat
- Painted surfaces that require refurbishing can be prepared by removing the flakey old paint and proceeding with the procedure described above.
Not suitable for immersed conditions & cannot be coated with 2K, Vinyl & aromatic thinned alkyd systems.
Method of application:
- By roller/brush and if large areas are to be painted one can use suitable spray application.
- To keep the brush/roller and spray equipment in good condition for use, clean the same in ROBBIALAC G.P thinner and dry them immediately after application.
Thinning recommendation:
- ROBBIALAC G.P thinner and to the extent of maximum of 10% of the paint by volume.
- Stir well with a convenient mixing equipment for uniformity to ensure good mixing of all the components.
