EPILAC TOPCOAT ENAMEL

Epilac Topcoat Enamel (Base & Hardener)

  • Based on a high molecular weight Epoxy Resin in combination with a suitable catalyst
  • The product is formulated with rich amounts of Titanium Dioxide, other Organic Colored pigments and functional fillers which give a good film build up and flow properties
  • By virtue of the Epoxy Resin it has excellent resistance to mild acids, bases and other chemicals
  • It has outstanding mechanical properties combined with good flow
  • It is an ideal top coat for requirements of long term maintenance
  • It gives very good adhesion

Coverage:

  1. The theoretical coverage of EPILAC TOPCOAT ENAMEL (2K) should be approximately 7 – 8 M² /liter per coat at a Dry film thickness of 40 – 50 µ per coat.

Surface preparation

Surface preparation:

  1. Avoid Humid Condition > 95 %. Not suitable for perpetual wet conditions
  2. The product will not cure below 10°c
  3. Remove the grease, oil, and wax by solvent cleaning
  4. Apply one to two coats of High Build Epilac Primer 2K for thorough binding of topcoat and after necessary curing proceed with two-three High Build Epilac Enamel 2K top coat as required
  5. For old surfaces; remove the old flakey material by sanding and degreasing the substrate

Method of application

Thinning recommendation:

  1. ROBBIALAC EPILAC THINNER and to the extent of maximum of 10-15% of the paint by volume.
  2. Stir well with a convenient mixing equipment for uniformity to ensure good mixing of all the components

Method of application:

  1. By roller/brush and if large areas are to be painted one can use suitable spray application
  2. To keep the brush/roller and spray equipment in good condition for use, clean the same in ROBBIALAC EPILAC THINNER and dry them immediately after application
